About Us

St. Joseph ’s Mishri Singh Vishwamohinee Memorial Teachers’ Training College is governed by Mishri Singh Vishwamohinee Memorial Educational Scientific & Health Trust. The establishment of the trust was in sweet memory of the beloved parents of the secretary of the said college Sri Anil Kumar Sinha. He drew inspiration from his father Late Mishri Singh (1899-1984). His father was a social reformer, an indefatigable freedom fighter, a true secularist, a pioneer in the field of education, a great humanist, an altruist and above all a true son of the soil of Dalsingsarai. He contributed lavishly by giving away lands and money to several institutions in town and its surroundings. He was so popular with the people of the district that he was elected MLA (From the congress) for two consecutive terms (1957-1967). Later on he refused the ticket offered by the congress party for the third time due to his declining health. He fought for the uplift of the poor and downtrodden. He believed in and advocated for education to all. His wife Late Vishwaqmohinee Sinha, a pious lady, stood by him. She was a part and parcel of her husband’s mental thought and action.

The aforesaid Trust is now a full-fedged, self- dependent one, dedicated to the service of mankind particularly in the field of education, Health and Information Technology. Under the banner of trust several institutions are being governed. In an inaugural function at Dalsingsarai Sri M.A.A. Fatmi, Minister of state, HRD, Govt. of India, offered the said Trust to come forward to set up a B.Ed. College, a P.T.T. College, a Dental College and a Para Medical College, sensing the need of the hour and the place. He assured that he would extend his full-pledged cooperation in this regard.

PURPOSE
Thus the college came into being after a great deal of painstaking efforts to cater to the dire need of the untrained graduates of the district and adjoining areas where there is no such institution. Thus the college is expected to safeguard the future of the untrained graduates and fresh pass outs of the university looking for a career by moulding them in to skilled teachers of tomorrow as teachers are the real architects of a nation.
